Devara: Part 1 is an upcoming 2024 Telugu-language action drama film directed by Koratala Siva. It features N. T. Rama Rao Jr. in a dual role as both Devara and his son, Varadha. The film is a large-scale production, showcasing themes of revenge, family, and conflict. Saif Ali Khan plays the antagonist Bhairava, while Janhvi Kapoor stars as the love interest of Varadha. The supporting cast includes actors like Prakash Raj, Zarina Wahab, and Shine Tom Chacko.
The plot revolves around Varadha avenging his father’s death at the hands of Bhaira’s men. Set against a coastal backdrop, the movie explores the intense battles between these characters, both emotionally and physically. The story is packed with high-octane action sequences, sword fights, and scenes on ships, enhancing the maritime setting of the story.
The film’s production was delayed due to various factors, including the lead actor’s commitments to other projects and the director revising the script after the failure of his previous film. However, it was officially launched in March 2023, with the title Devara being announced in May.
